Newborn with Birth Defect Denied Health Care Coverage Because of 'Pre-existing Condition' |
|
Probably a tasty bonus for the claims person who pulled this off.

1. When I got pregnant with my youngest .. |
|
(oldest was born prior to all the HC gouging) BCBS of NC told me my pregnancy was a pre-existing condition .. I asked them that it must of been a miracle that I had been pregnant for over two years and perhaps we should contact the media .. they covered it.

That's unreal.
My unborn nephew was dx'd in-utero with Hypo-plastic left heart syndrome, he was going to be operated on before birth but it was discovered the condition was worse than thought and he was delivered by Cesarean, and given a few weeks to get stronger. The Norwood Procedure, the Glenn Procedure and theFontaine Procedure were all performed, with 2 more surgeries to come and probably a lifetime of close monitoring and possible even further surgery. This is costing my niece zero, above her taxes, and the thought he may have been refused coverage down there is just really sad .... especially as their first baby was not born alive.

4. Ok, these leeches were coddled and they got to write the health care law, and |
|
now they have to review it to see how a pre-existing conditions of a ten day old baby can be denied. Hand over the care to this baby as easily as a beautiful rose, and stop this. If a beautiful baby in need, who's parents want to keep him alive can be denied help, where does that leave the rest of us less cute people in need. Insurance co. are the devil....

5. This is what corporations do |
|
There is a larger worry here for me. If corporations can do this to people, imagine what they are doing to our environment etc. Corporations do not take any ethical or moral responsobility what so ever, and its functions are divided up into small portions for each person just like a government beurocracy, so no-one feels more responsible than others.
The statement made by blue shield says just about everything. Dead, lifeless, lawyertalk.
The more power corporations get (i.e. the more functions they take over from the state), the more of this we will get. Imagine if American Police Force (Blackwaters police enforcement unit) comes to your town to fill up that private jail that was just set up.
And people are afraid of the government? Well i'm just fine with my socialized medicine..
