It does not evoke the empathy I felt for those misguided people in Texas, that "we" killed. These are armed (also) people with an entirely different agenda. Their agenda is to violently change our government. I believe the people in Waco just wanted to be left alone to practice their (at the least odd, with criminal aspects) "religion." I disliked (greatly) the 8 years of bush rule. I haven't been ecstatic with President Obama. I would not bear arms against either. I do believe that we have (for decades) a corporatist government, but I hope we can change that through the ballot box. Maybe that is too simplistic. An armed insurrection is insane. Non-violence is more effective in the long run. These people (I believe, are just really confused and dangerous). The politics they are so passionate about, only benefits the wealthy. I don't think there were wealthy people there. Their inciters are wealthy and bankroll their operation. These are the people who should be arrested also.

Just study what happened after the French Revolution. Violence merely leads to more violence. Violent revolutions are completely useless. They cost lives. They make real progress impossible.

The only exception that I know of is the American Revolution. And I sometimes wonder if the secret to our success may have been the fact that our revolutionaries had so much land and so much work to do in developing it that they didn't want to fight more than they had to.

Our system of government can be frustratingly slow, but as long as we have free speech and the opportunity to organize and vote, there is no reason and no excuse for even thinking about these militias and such nonsense.

Apparently there are people on the radio who goad these guys on. They are so foolish. Don't they realize that they are the people most likely to be harmed by this nonsense.
