2. And folks wondered why I don't put anything past my fellow michigan citizens |

Having lived around some of these type of wacky nit wits I know just how dangerous they can be. McViegh wasn't the only nut job in the state and having seen some of these militia types in their homes I can tell you they are down right dangerous waiting for something to set them off. Stupaks district has a lot of these whack jobs, they refer to their area of the state as God's country.

4. Fight alongside Jesus? |
|
If you have the big J on your side, literally, why all the guns? Is the idea that they would be fighting alongside some kind of Rambo incarnation of Jesus? This begs a very important question.... Can you hang hand grenades off of the side of his Halo, kind of like a floating utility belt, maybe extra ammo clips? Now THAT would be useful, IMHO.

5. For some odd reason these nit wits have twisted the Bible, Nostradamus |
|
and Calvinism into this belief that the second coming of Christ would be a civil war type happening, where brother would be killing brother. It's really odd that it wasn't until Dante wrote his book where Satan became this all powerful evil force and the anti Christ showed up in the Bible. At most, Satan before Dante was a minor tempter of man who tricked folks into following his path, though it was unclear exactly what that path was.
In a lot of religions that doesn't include Revelations in their bible, the belief is Christ comes back to help God sort out the faithful from the unfaithful and stand on the side of man come judgment day. These religions also say that man will not know when this judgment day or the second coming will happen, the writings said Christ said that judgment day would happen when man least expected it. Uncertainty doesn't sit well with conservatives nor conservatives fear of the unknown. Which is why there's so much written in conservative religions about the end times, it gives them certain signs that the end is near and they are safe from the unknown. But it also causes what we are seeing today with folks trying to bring about the end times.

Why would an all powerful Supreme Deity need help from these people? It makes no sense.
