Cal Cunningham, a Democrat from Lexington, is a former State Senator and Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves. Cal served a one-year tour in Iraq and was a lead military prosecutor, earning a Bronze Star for cracking down on contractor crimes that harmed the mission and wasted taxpayer dollars.

In addition to a Juris Doctor from UNC Law, Cal's education includes a Masters of Science from the London School of Economics. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honors from UNC-Chapel Hill. At UNC, he served as the Student Body President and later as the Chief Justice of the Student Supreme Court.

If true, that's not so good.

2. He's for it, to my knowledge.

I'm pretty sure that Cal has stated support for the PO during candidate forums.

He's great on the environment and green jobs. Has been endorsed by the Teamsters, the North Carolina Association of Educators, and Gen. Wesley Clark. He's for ending DADT, renegotiating NAFTA and CAFTA. Great progressive credentials.
