3. I guess my sarcasm wasn't as obvious as I hoped
Of course it's not scary. The video was a very clear explanation of a reasonable approach to health care.

5. She paints a rosy picture.
There are alot of variables and loopholes not covered in this promotion. I am pro health care for all. I hope this plan gets us closer to this goal. FDR proposed a "second bill of rights." That, IMO, is what all Americans deserve. America, when they helped rebuild Japan and Germany after WWII, made sure that these countries included these "rights" in their constitutions. Those citizens have a much better lifestyle and a much healthier wealth distribution in their respective countries. Why do we ensure that that other countries citizens are treated fairly, yet economically rape Americans? Of course during the FDR administration the wealthiest Americans were taxed at 90%. They were wealthy, yet we had a middle class that actually prospered also. Currently, the wealthiest Americans pay a comparable pittance in taxes and America has the largest gap in wealth distribution than any place in the world. The "second bill of rights" proposed by FDR, included Universal Health Care. This proposal by FDR is what all Americans need to fight for. It also includes, a guaranteed "living wage" job, a livable pension and much more. It is a Real social contract between our government (corporations) and the people. Most other "civilized" nations in our world have this social contract. America deserves and should demand it. If all Americans vote for the good of the nation and not with images of their own personal wealth (a pipe dream for 95% of us) we can get these rights. That scares the wealthy. hopefully, it is not to late to have our votes counted. Please lets find a candidate who believes in rights for ALL and support him/her.

7. with today's corporate media
at least 50%-80% of the american electorate is led to believe that at least some of their interests are what corporate anchors and buffoons tell them. Until that's changed and the culture is shifted to the left there is no hope. This would take decades even if we had a viable public media and public education 100% funded by taxpayers.

Today even what we call "public" from radio to TV and schools are increasingly funded by private interests. As long as that trend continues americans are going to believe more and more nonsense about the nature of economic reality and their best interests in their minds will be magically aligned with the very corporate interests that exploits them. The more it does the angrier people get and will support their own destruction with more fervor. It's classic stockholm syndrome. The american population has been so utterly brainwashed and used against itself at this point that it would take cult-deprogarmming to wake them up. Fat chance of that happening in our lifetime.
