I tell you, if the anti-intellectual ticket is even considered in 2 years, and if it gets over 1% of the votes, it will be time for me to start looking to North of the border to live in. My parents were both Canadians before they were naturalized, and I'm sure I could get some of my relatives to sponsor me if I went north.

2. The election is for President, NOT a popularity contest for ms. congeniality ;)
It is hilarious that Palin and/or Bachmann think that they should or could be in the White House!
Like I've always said: "The only way I ever see Palin ever getting into the White House is if she purchases a ticket for the daily WH tour!"

I can't wait for the day when that bitchy, hateful, disgraceful, disrespectful, fear-mongering, deer-in the headlights, egotistical, under educated woman is off of the national stage and off of my TV!

6. Some one on Twitter said...
Twitter person: "In the spirit of bipartisanship, Obama should nominate Palin for SCOTUS. Dems can then filibuster the nom with only 41 votes; voila!"

My Twitter response: "I'd love to see Palin TRY to answer questions at a SC Justice confirmation hearing!" #LOL

Now THAT would be great! I really would love to see Palin grilled by the Senators and see her stumble and fumble and run out of the room! LOL

Hey! If Dubya can do it, anybody can! Just sit down and have a beer with the entire country while those humorless bald guys take care of stuff. The Presidency is a PR position as far as the GOP is concerned. No need for anyone to know who's really running things. They got it! Just look at the shiny First Family who is all folksy and just like you....except they're leading the free world! Gosh!

The GOP stopped laughing at religious fundies and decided to use them and empower them... not unlike what they did with bigots in the South in the middle of the last century. They started taking these folks "seriously" and now those folks think they have a point....and some kind of majority to back it up.

I would love this ticket. I can't believe they would get more than 35 percent of the vote and I'm pretty sure Obama would win by the most crushing landslide in history. I think it could threaten the 1920 election as most lopsided ever in terms of popular vote. These two would do more to motivate the liberal base than just about any other two I can think of.

I know some folks here have been unhappy about Obama's presidency so far (while it hasn't been perfect by any means, I'm not one of them) and have said they won't vote for him in 2012. But if the alternative is Palin-Bachmann 99% of them we'll eat their words and go vote for Obama as fast as they can.

On the other hand, if an election with these two versus Obama was at all close it would be an instant signal to me that the forces of stupid had begun to conquer and that there may be no way back to sanity. It would be time to rethink my choice of home.

Either way, I would know more about my country after an election like this. Do the people choose sanity and intelligence or loud-mouthed, bigoted, nonsense?

11. 35% of a vote
terrifies me. Even 10% terrifies me with these two. I can't get it out of my head that if 1 out of every 10 voters in this country chose Palin/Bachmann, or even a combination of 1/2 of that ticket for the presidency, we'd be in even deeper shit than most of the third world countries in the world. Remember the scene that Johnny Smith saw in the original Dead Zone film, of the "future president" with his hand on the button to start WWIII? Somehow or another, I think it would have been someone like Sarah Palin who did the dirty.

10. Palin and Bachmann
are real life female counterparts to Beavis and Butthead. The cold hard fact is, Beavis and Butthead are the rank and file of the Republican Party. The rubes and dupes who buy into the jingoistic hatred fomented by the Palin/Bachmann jihad are essentially frightened, ignorant and impotent.
Running on fear and loathing has been the Republican strategy for years. Palin and Bachmann are just fresh makeup and a new dress on an old whore.
Men tend to believe whatever an attractive woman tells them. Palin and Bachmann are both physically attractive and able to sell anything to the pistol packing moron element that has been prominently on parade since the 2008 election.

20. They cheered for a Bush/Cheney ticket too.Not one of the crowd could answer a political issue correc
Countries...any country...is always gonna' have a misinformed/25% idiocy group who don't know anything about governing or the issues but who have huge egos that tell them they are the best drivers on the road. Hannity has absolutely no integrity, and is shameless in his pandering for dollars. In fact this "beauty pageant Mayberry government mentality" is so embarrassing. These goobers have no plans or policies only criticisms. Bachman telling constituents not to answer the census ends up getting her district's federal funding cut and would even decrease their representation in congress and Palin saying Obama knows nothing about nuclear proliferation when some of his finest work as a senator was working with Sen. Lugar (R) on this issue and he just brokered the best deal with Russia of any president so far and then to claim that Obama was not nice enough to Karzi (blame America first crowd of hypocrite republicans to side with a foreign leader threatening to side with the Taliban over our own president) and these dilbert uninformed goobers in the crowd cheer these "don't have a clue what they're talking about or doing quitters and blatant egotistical liars" shows just how clueless, careless and stupid they are. Thank god they are just a loud mouth minority who think they speak for the rest of America...they are the losers and always will be no matter how much Beck, Hannity, Palin, Backmman, and Rush try to cultivate their stupidity, anger and ignorance pushing them to be anti government and anti American just for ratings and money. Republicans are all losers in our democracy for they cannot accept or tolerate any opinions but their own. They want the country to be run like a military base with them as the generals telling everyone else what to do and punishing anyone who talks back. The authoritarian utopia. The majority of the nation can see they are quite insane, pitiful and pathetic. They should not be allowed any where near the levers of government. Palin does everything for money. That's why she quit her governorship leaving Alaska and Wasilla in huge debt. Such a manipulating lying hypocrite con and if you don't know this it's because you don't want to know for it is quite obvious.
