1. Kicked and recommended, although I don't believe Beck is dumb or an evil genius, he's just evil.
Thanks for the thread, ihavenobias.

6. I'm pretty sure he's an idiot
We're merely arguing over what kind of idiot he is.

14. He knows propaganda, whereas I don't believe an idiot would.
Beck deceives people with premeditation, he uses key words and emotions to manipulate his one way audience, he does this for his corporate owner and gets paid good money for it in spite of losing advertisers.

I believe he's of average intelligence but he's evil and persuasive to the gullible.

2. Hard to figure Beck, but his puppeteers know that
their Fox sheep aren't going to check his claims, and he's certainly not going to encourage them to.

8. Not sure how they could justify that...
Wouldn't that be a violation of free speech? I didn't quite get what he was referring to on that.

11. They will only charge more
if your site is left leaning or pro-corporate responsibility. That is the point.

Are you arguing against net neutrality?

15. I'm not arguing against it, not at all!
I just wasn't sure what comcast's reasoning would be for doing it. I agree that if they did any such thing it would be killed by the 1st amendment. i just want to know what comcast has said about how they are going to go about this.

16. It would be really stupid for them to say that, right?

4. That's a tough one, but I go with both. He's smarter than his audience, but
Edited on Sat Apr-10-10 03:47 PM by 20score
that's a pretty low bar.

So, I have to conclude that he knows he's lying, but he's still a world class moron.

9. I'm with you on this one
I think he knows he's lying, but I'm not sure I agree about how stupid he is though. It's easy to dismiss him as stupid, but he's smart enough to understand all of his whack-job conspiracy theories. I think he's more crazy than stupid- an evil kind of crazy.

5. He's ignorant, but he also has this illusion of knowledge, which comes from-
... an imbalance of neuro-hormonal thingies in an untreated brain.

Maybe Mike Malloy's right - this guy's a dry drunk and an emotional basket-case just waiting to commit suicide. He has a family history of it, I hear.

But I have trouble figuring out who the puppet was.

13. I can't understand how such blatant lies are allowed to be aired. It's not an
opinion it is just flat out lying. If facts that are readily available are stated as false then networks that air obvious lies should be fined largely and made to correct the lies publicly.
