of course, they should have SOME privacy protections, but then again...

No formal stuff, no lawyers, no social workers?

I want the real info on the parent, and maybe I'd like to see the mother and grand-mother charged with child abandonment.

4. I heard on the news the other night

that the boy had attacked the adopted mother with a three-pound statue and was threatening to burn the house down while the family was asleep. Admittedly, they could have handled the return of the boy better, but I guess they panicked.

6. That's assuming the mother or Grandmother is telling the truth

The Russian authorites also said the boy showed signs of physical abuse. In light of this and those 3 incidents that Cenk mentioned where the Russian adopted children were BEATEN TO DEATH by the American adoptive parents, I would not be surprised or saddened if Russia did ban all adoptions of their children by Americans.

This woman that abandoned this child should be forever banned from ever adopting or being a foster parent. What she did was cruel and unforgiveable.

7. Complicated story...

they were saying he showed signs of having been abused in Russia, the Russians say the kid said his adopted mother in the U.S. was mean and would pull his hair. No idea what's really going on here, I believe the term "clusterf" accurately describes this situation
