is sometimes referred to as "The Peoples Republic of Urbana" it tends to have more of the University professors living there than Champaign. I've lived in the Champaign-Urbana area my whole life, and it tends to be an island of blue, or purple in a sea of red. The mayor of Champaign is a former police officer, and in my opinion, a complete fucking moron. His comment was filmed at the local teabagger rally protesting reduced taxes and affordable healthcare. I don't know why he was there, but I suspect it was to offer support, they seem like his type of vermin. To my knowledge, he has never proven that he was born in this country, or is even here legally.
