I posted the video a few days ago of the right wing radio host in Maryland getting booed off the stage for speaking out against Sarah Palin and the Republicans. When I posted it the video had a few hundred hits, now it has over 20 thousand. This fucking nut really is doing a lot to destroy the TEA party "movement". Here's the video he posted yesterday of him on his radio show continuing to lash out against the Republicans and the TEA party. Right now I'd say this kid is MVP for our side. I really think liberals should start supporting libertarians all the way. that is what will ruin the fucking republicans. and at least libertarians are usually intellectually honest and not a bunch of FOXBots. and, i have to say, even though this guy is kind of nutty and has a stupid sounding voice.. he makes some good points.

1. Libertarians are just far-right Republicans who want to smoke dope and get laid.
However, they can still be useful idiots, especially when they wander into TeaKlan rallies thinking they're going to be accepted.

3. Sounds like the extreme left. . .hippies etc. . .!
Maybe political ideologies are not on a continuous axle, with "left" and "right."
Maybe it is on a circular spectrum, where the extreme "left" and the extreme "right" fade into each other!!!

4. No. The human desire to alter their brain chemistry and get laid transcends political boundaries.
Libertarians are still far-right.

They just want to have their cake and get stoned off it too.

12. Wanting to do it is universal. Wanting to make it legal is not.
However, sometimes one desire transcends the other.

8. thats very true
Edited on Tue Apr-20-10 01:34 PM by iamthebandfanman
infact ive often tried to make the case to people that far right fascism and far left communism are usually only different in a few ways.. china is a great example of this , and the blurred line that has now disappeared there (clearly they are not communists anymore, communists dont make profit for themselves and their small group of friends.)

i told one of my self proclaimed libertarian (and ron paul backer) that he and the left had a a lot in common in all actuality.. because we dont believe in basic civil rights for everyone and a definite right to privacy....

i told him that probably about all that we had in common tho, as i didnt want to destroy the united states government. lol.

15. right
the extremes on both sides are actually quite simaler. i guess because the ideological divide is not a linear one.. it's more of a circle. the two sides get so far from eachother that they start to become eachother. if that makes sense.

20. A few inconsistencies in the logic of this video:
First of all they indicated that we need to get Government out of peoples lives and abolish the income tax because it is unconstitutional.
Clearly the constitution says the congress has the right to levy taxes.
They have overlooked the first three words of the document "WE THE PEOPLE" The Government is made up of "THE PEOPLE" so we need to get people out of peoples lives?????
Perhaps these guys should read the constitution before they try to interpret it.

23. not really
I mean, im an avowed liberal but even id say that the govt has sufficiently insulated its self from the people at this point.. enough that certainly i dont think the govt is really "we the people" anymore. more like "they the powerful"

2. He does sound intelligent and makes excellent points!
I am certainly not against libertarian philosophy for the sake of it. . .actually, I agree with a good deal of libertarian ideas. . .I'm just not sure about the "guns" and the close to obsessive paranoia about "taking our freedom away."

It does take more organization to have our society run smoothly in a global frame work than it did 200 years ago in our small, limited, and mostly insular economy. . .that organization does take some additional "check and balance," that are not necessarely a sign of "taking our freedom away!"

5. Not so much. He repeats the falsehood that the income tax violates the Constitution. It doeesn't.
16th Amendment to the Constitution:

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

10. right but i thought their problem was
that congress never gave the thumbs up to anything?

maybe im wrong about that, but seems to me i remember libertarians countering the whole 16th amendment response with something along that lines..

13. Well all the tax laws (including the IRS) were passed by Congress so that argument doesn't wash.
The 16th Amendment was passed by Congress and duly ratified by the states and all subsequent tax law has been passed by Congress. There just is no "there" there - no matter how many times they repeat it or how loudly they do so - the income tax is Constitutional as long as the 16th amendment is not itself amended using Constitutional means. Marching around with guns and braying loudly and frequently do no constitute Constitutional means.

14. thats true but
as far as i remember from what ive read.. they passed it under false pretenses... initially gauranteeing it would only apply to the top 1 percent of income earners. personally, i think there needs to be an income tax. as i said, i think the anti-income tax argument is a little nutty. but i do respect it. only because at least it has the balls to be consistent. if you think the income tax is wrong in principle then you should support abolishing it.. not limiting it. so thats pretty much where i stand on libretarians.. i think theyre nuts and i disagree, but i can respect them. as opposed to neocons and "moderate" republicans.. who basically stand for nothing at all.

6. Libertarians have to be either 1) very rich; 2) foolish enough to
think that even though they aren't rich now, they will be rich before they are too old to ever get rich; 3) very young and unaware that they will never get rich or even be able to sustain themselves without interaction with and dependency on other humans.

There is an interesting TV series called This Emotional Life that explains that humans are naturally dependent on each other and why. It shows what happens to people who are unable to enjoy emotional attachments.

If you watch that series, you will have a little more sympathy for the adoptive mother who sent her child back to Russia. The movie explains why those children are so difficult.

The Ayn Rand, libertarian philosophy takes no account for human nature, for the natural development and social needs of humans. It will never work.

11. Libertarians are big here in AZ and look at the DAMAGE
You don't want to support these idiots. They have taken Arizona down in so many ways that we would love to see moderate Republicans come back into power. Sure it would be great to see them do away with the teabaggers and split the extremist into nothingness, but just because they are doing that don't be fooled, that doesn't mean they are our friends.

18.  Here's a real "infiltrator" and this one is a genius, unlike the radio guy.
Watch this all the way through: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x457053

You're right about the radio host. He does have a stupid sounding "radio voice", sounds like a different person from the one in the other video.

24. These dudes are so weird
Some of the things these guys say are perfectly logical and very easy to prove but then they go on these anti-government, anti-tax rants that just dont make any fucking sense. If these dudes dont want the government to exist and they dont want anyone to pay any taxes, why are they broadcasting their radio show using electricity produced by publicly funded generators and why are they benefiting from the services provided by organizations like the FDA and the DOT on a daily basis.

If these guys want to be totally "free" why dont they sell everything they own move out to the woods in the middle of nowhere, not have electricity, not have heating, not use roads, hunt their own food and carry out their own safety tests on the food, and then develop their own system of delivering mail, then they could really call themselves libertarians who can make it on their own with no help from the government and its various agencies.
