This was written about a previous racist shitbag governor and a different racist situation (resisting the MLK holiday) but in many ways, it still fits. Maybe we can get Chuck D to re-record it with updated lyrics?

3. Answer me a question...
Is any part of that statement not true?

Racist - yep.

Shitbag - check.

Governor - affirmative.

What was your point again?

10. I remember Meacham less for that than for . . .
. . . using the term grinning picaninnies to describe black children and defending his use of it.

Now, only a racist shitbag would get himself into a situation like that.

12. Answer me a question
What I disagree with is epitaphs. Just as soon as the name calling starts, the discussion ends. You have an argument, the epitaphs aren't necessary.
There is no discussion after the name calling starts, and minds get turned off.

I came to the board hoping for discussion to sway by reason and sound argument.

What I see too often is gutter sniping with foul language I'd never put to my typewriter board.

I taught my kids to respect others and to listen. What happened to you writers? It turns off most people when you show language violence.

I've donated a good portion of my life to caring for the poor and spent many hours from my family because of it.

We are lesser as a nation for the mud slinging.

What's an epitaph? Also was there even a question up there?..... OK I found it hidden in between all the other crap.

Did the mods take the weekend off again?

As to your question...

I will make no apologies for being absolutely UNcivil when it comes to racist pieces of shit like Evan Meacham, Joe Arpaio and Jan Brewer. Arizona is my second home. The primary reason it never became my first home is because of people like them. There is no common ground with bigots. And I seriously question the motives of ANYONE who tries to invent any.

16. Epitaphs? you hate epitaphs?...
Main Entry: ep·i·taph
Pronunciation: \ˈe-pə-ˌtaf\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English epitaphe, from Anglo-French & Medieval Latin; Anglo-French, from Medieval Latin epitaphium, from Latin, funeral oration, from Greek epitaphion, from epi- + taphos tomb, funeral
Date: 14th century

1 : an inscription on or at a tomb or a grave in memory of the one buried there
2 : a brief statement commemorating or epitomizing a deceased person or something past

— ep·i·taph·ial \ˌe-pə-ˈta-fē-əl\ adjective

— ep·i·taph·ic \-ˈta-fik\ adjective

This begs the question- "what do you want on your tombstone?"
