Brave New Conversations Exclusive: The Myth of Corporate Personhood

Everybody knows what the outcome of Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad, right? Corporations took on the same rights as people. Or did they? In his conversation with Robert Greenwald, Thom Hartmann talks about the deep research he did for his book Unequal Protection and the incredible information he found about the ruling that's been hiding in plain sight all of these years.

3. So all the corporate power grabbing in this country are based on
a mistake (more likely a lie because the court reporter who wrote the contradictory headnote probably did it on purpose).

Amazing, corporations have to rig everything to make sure they get their way.

6. He almost certainly did it on purpose...
...he was the former head of a railroad.

4. K&R. I hadn't realized the rationale was so flimsy.
That all this corporate power grabbing originated with a false subtitle before a footnote, upon which case precedents were built.

I knew it was some kind of of footnote or comment on the Santa Clara County v Southern Pacific Railroad case, but not a mere incorrect subtitle.
