With financial reform finally within reach, the GOP (led by Senators Richard Shelby and Mitch McConnell) is once again declaring that no Republicans will be voting for this bill. They claim that after a year and a half of negotiations, there still isn't enough bipartisanship. Mike Papantonio appears on Fox Business's Happy Hour to talk about why the Democrats need to ignore the GOP and press on with financial reform.

1. "Getting it right" for an R, is to ensure the citizen gets screwed...

and the monied people get a pass and a LOT more cash.

They "got it right", when they allowed corporations to get into retirement funds and gamble away employee benefits.

They "got it right", when they deregulated financial institutions to the point where virtually every account was wide open to be stolen.

They "got it right" when they figured off-shoring manufacturing was a "great idea".

They "got it right" so many times, I'm surprised we have a country left!


Jesus, if they "get anything right" again, we'll be begging for beans on the world corner.
