8. Agree, those words serve a purpose. Not using them is as silly as overusing them.

It drives me nuts when people get all sanctimonious about swearing. The point is to make your point in as strong a way as possible. It means something very different to say something is "really bad news" versus saying that it is "really fucking bad". It catches your attention and makes a point.
