1. Dennis is the man! No other candidate comes close to him in honesty, clarity
and simply being right on the issues. America may not deserve Kucinich as President, but America NEEDS Kucinich as President.

2. Is it me?
Or was the interviewer hostile and combative?

If any of the mainstream media had shown this much spine 5 years ago perhaps we wouldn't be mired in Iraq now.

Honestly though, does anyhone think she would have been as dismissive or combative towards Hillary?

5. Not just you.
I thought so too. Especially the message at the bottom that he has only 3% support among democrats and the interviewer saying his campaign is failure.

Is this board so far to the left that the candidates like Clinton and Obama who seem to be getting wide spread support are not seriously considered? Is it the rest of the Democrats or us?

6. It's not that we're far to the left... it's that we know the issues.
Most of the electorate votes based on meaningless BS.

8. I cannot
I cannot take Hillary seriously until she apologizes for her vote to authorize force in Iraq. I also can't take her seriously until she stops hiring professional union busters as advisors for her campaign.

I watched the debates last night. Kucinich was right on all the issues. Obama was soft or gave very coached answers though personally I do like him, I just didn't like the answers he gave.

Why should I limit my selection to the best funded candidates?

12. taking Hilary seriously
My hope is that Hilary really understands and 'gets' all the things that the progressives and the Kucinich's are talking about, but at the same time she understands she's got to say and sometimes do all the 'right' things to get into office. I don't mean to excuse her either, just trying to understand. I hope once she gets elected (if she does) then we'll see the real progressive take-no-b.s. activist come out!

13. Oh sure
But of course if we do then we will be attacked by a segment of "party loyalist" types.

7. No not just you

She was combative about the Al-Qaeda point...interrupting him and correcting what she thought the question should be about. That's mainstream media for you. Make the liberals out to be all controversial and question their judgment. That's the way it works in America.

Check her out just after 6 minute mark. She says "you're just trying to move the debate, not be a president". Then when he corrects that, she interrupts him (rudely) and goes on "your numbers are at 1% sir" as if to put him down.

This is journalism???

10. He's the only candidate answering questions and taking on the system!
That makes me worry about the others agendas, why aren't all the candidates out there sounding like him?

14. Check out this video
Another journalist (Paula Zahn) questioning Kucinich's Iraq-war stance by taking as fact claims of the Bush administration:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5GjfrLWGPU

Start at about 2:40. Kucinich says that a President should never send troops in harms way for any other reason besides defense of the nation.

Paula breaks in and says "but that's not what is happening in the war in Iraq" and further, she asks him "are you demeaning their service?"

Simply amazing.

15. What a stooge she is
Edited on Sun Aug-12-07 07:59 AM by Red Knight
I love how she just dismisses the past when all the media helped spread the lies to get us into the war. Now they want to continue carrying the administrations water to make it difficult to get out.

They were wrong then--they are wrong now--and Dennis should have thrown it up in her face.

Of course she'd quickly say how that wasn't the issue because she clearly has a script she's working from--set out by higher-ups but he should do it anyway.

I hate the media. Really. It's worthless.

CNN was pushing for an Iran war yesterday, saying how we really may have no choice because Iran has made a surge push just as we had.

No choice.

Uh...wrong. Again.

16. You know.. the polls are saying one thing... but as the debates keep up
internets keep buzzing, and more people know about Kucinich... people might just go into the primary booths and say fuck it, its not the general election, I'm voting my conscience on this one.. and push the button for Kucinich. We'll see. I'm not decided. I want Kucinich, but if I can't have him, Edwards would be the alt. I don't want to lose Edwards votes to the die hard Clinton and Obama fans. I hate the polls... so devisive. Just cut them off the t.v. and let us decide... tell the politician running, don't tell me... they decide the damn race.
