Via Joe.My.God we get this preview of Coral Ridge Ministries' latest "documentary" about how President Obama is turning America into a socialist nation, featuring the likes of Harry Jackson, Wendy Wright, David Horowitz, Al Mohler, Steve Forbes, and Michele Bachmann:

1. Hmm. Interesting. Does their little tirade include the fire department, police department,

highway system, train tracks, military...?

I think not. Apparently making it unlawful to terminate the insurance of a cancer patient is anti-American. But allowing Americans to lose their health care in the event of a medical emergency, thereby losing all their life's work is American.

What a twisted, warped, sick and demented way of thinking.

2. In this ad, HCR = socialism = evil (with "Halloween" music)

A fundamentalist friend (who now votes Democratic) told me that large churches like this are opposed to health care reform because they will have to provide health insurance to their employees. This friend left a church here because, while unpolitical in the past, they began speaking against HCR and Obama, and were afraid of the cost.

And these churches are tax exempt why? The original reason for the exemption is long obsolete.

4. Their just throwing around the word socialism and mixing other political ideologies...

...as ways to instill fear into people without actually knowing the meaning or the difference between these words. Typical propaganda and ignorance of history on their part. They claim we're living under tyrannical rule, while they submit themselves to a tyranny that has lasted for centuries under the guise of eternal punishment if you fail to submit to your ruler.

Heck, after reading about IWW and the Socialist activism under Eugene Debs, we would have been a lot better off. IMO Obama is closer to the ideologies of Reagan than he is to being a socialist.
