This is from a while ago, but I wonder just how committed to Meek she really is? Gads, listen to her. She is not helping the democrats in Florida when she goes out and talks like this. Listen for yourself!

where the party encourages DLC bottom feeders like Bill Nelson to pass themselves off as "Democrats".

4. yes but not running in the senate race...which leaves Rubio and Crist
and this is why dems are flocking to Crist!

5. If the idea is to keep a tea bagger out of the Senate, it's a good move
The only poll I've seen on a three-way race in Florida has the Democrat far behind. It looks like a lost cause. It might be time to consider "tactical voting" if Crist is the best Florida can do.

Otherwise, Marco Rubio will be in the Senate to pal around with other fascists.

7. If the dems had a viable candidate, maybe Crist wouldn't be running as a independant.
On the surface, it's easy to say that the democrats screwed up big here by not having a legitimate candidate running in a race that has now become very winnable. But on the other hand, if the democrats did have a real progressive candidate that could motivate democratic voters, it's unlikely that Crist would have felt he had a chance to win as an independent.

The best case scenario for democrats before was Charlie Crist as a republican senator. Now our best case scenario is Charlie Crist as an independent. So that's slightly better.

11. You are 100% correct! It is a strategy to keep Rubio (Jeb's fascist puppet) out - the dem can't win

9. it's a real temptation to vote for Crist, if for no other reason than to show teabaggers
what happens when you try to cut reasonable conservatives out of the party (Crist is not the worst. He was against offshore drilling for years, only switched in 2008 then went back again last week, and he was honest about taking stimulus money, and he's prolly gay, which is a good thing)

10. Good to hear I'm not the only one thinking that way....Where I live Dems never win
so if the non tea baggger wasn't doing so well I would have changed parties for the primary to vote for him. i can't stand what tea baggers stand for!

12. We must stop a fascist, keep our eye on the real work,
and not be "emotionally retarded" by following blind obediance. Meek will not win. The republican party is really presurring members...that "you're with us or against us" attitude with conservatives. Turning them off.
