Hey DU,
A question not related to today's cartoon...
Who's more of a asshole?
Mitt or Rudy?

Just a question

Enjoy!

2. I second your Hoot and raise you a Bwah-HAH!
I first read about this whole thing just this afternoon. Another hypocritical chickenhawk chickenshit rethuglican. How can anybody take their phoney patriotism seriously?

6. Right or wrong, I've kept them all at a distance.

(They're darksided! They're all darksided!!!) I don't know a lot about what makes one thug different from another, but I do have a really dim view of Mitt. I'm actually not at all anti-religion, and I try to be open-minded and tolerant, but the whole Mormon thing is just weird to me. I remember reading some articles relating to the Salt Lake City olympics in which Mormon leaders themselves were openly admitting to some weird-ass shit. (For instance, one of the church leaders--it may have even been THE top man--stated that Mormonism was polytheistic. I wonder how Joe Fundie would reconcile that if Mitt became the nominee.) And, of course, for ANYONE to still maintain this slavish, sycophantic devotion to Bush and the war is just disgusting. I mean...both bush and the war are about as popular as chlamydia right now, so it amazes me that they still have so many congresscritters and other national leaders (including our pathetic dem leaders) acting as if it's still October 2001 and the Chimp is the Light of the World.

On edit: another thing about the "mormon" aspect that troubles me is knowing how they have tried to impose their beliefs on all of Utah. Utah...damn. Imagine if an entire state were controlled by the Moonies or one of those dumpster cults. Why do people accept the idea that an entire state is dominated by some bizarro cult?

7. For what it's worth, they have toned down a bit
In the 1850s, a group of folks moving from Arkansas to Oregon were ambushed by Mormons and Indians, and the adults all murdered. The children were given to Mormon families to be raised as Mormons. Somehow, word got back to the States about the Mountain Meadows Massacre and the Mormons who perpetrated it were tried and convicted, and the orphans shipped back home to Arkansas. There's a big monument about this on the courthouse square in Harrison AR. Mormons contend that this was not Mormon policy, and I'm sure they are right, as it didn't happen again--however it does show that some of the Mormons of that time were really crazed that they would do such a thing.

the people in the vast middle who don't
really pay attention to policy
and are all about "likeability".
and he's just not.

i can see why people might like mccain and even (ugh) giulliani, personality-wise.

romney... his bile just oozes every time he opens his mouth.

i think any dem will cream him.

4. So glad Mitwits sons
are out there protecting us from those Iowa insurgents. Must be tough, doging all those cowpies inthe road with that Winnebago.

:puke:

Romney is the worst. Mitt is the biggest asshole of the lot. (Well, maybe Tancredo for his bombing Mecca remark, but he has no chance.)

Mitt. Not sacrificing a thing.

8. Except the recruiters for the Taliban and al Qaeda
Tancredo's remarks were music to their ears, I'm sure, and help bolster their arguments that the US is on a crusade to wipe out Islam. IMHO, Tanacredo has aided the terrorists by uttering these inflammatory remarks. Why isn't he up on charges for doing so?

9. Faux Noise
was showing those pictures of the flag burnings and effigy burnings while talking about Obama's remarks about going into Pakistan. However they did a crummy job of editing and inadvertently showed the signs "Deth to America" Deth to Tancredo" in their report trashing Obama.

Amazing that Tancredo's remarks got so little press while Obama's have been discussed ad naseum for days. :eyes:

10. I sent an e-mail to the 5 sons' blog
I asked them how it was that 5 healthy military age proponents of the Iraq War weren't in the military "protecting our country". I informed them that there were soldiers serving their 4th and 5th tours who would appreciate relief that they could provide them. I told them that if I believed, as their father does, that our country is in imminent danger, I would join up and encourage any of my military age relatives and friends to do the same. I then told them that they were too cowardly to respond and fully expected them not to.
