The horse race mentality. No concern about whether what they're pulling is good for the state and country or not.

Will the ballot measure be misleading? Is the Pope German? By the time the repugs are through with this measure, it'll be labeled "The Save the California Condor Initiative" and uninformed voters will think voting against it means the condors will all be euthanized.
