2. Doesn't care about the oil. |

How pathetic. All she cares about is HER loss, because the health of the oceans isn't any concern of hers.

The nation and world are suffering from this disaster, and all she can do is think about herself. People like her give Americans a bad name.

10. Are you insane? You're calling a widow *selfish* for publicly mourning her loss? |

Yes, the oceans are destroyed by BP, but so are the workers employed by them. What an embarrassment you are.

Big difference. If you cannot distinguish that, then you're the embarrassment. You might want to visit the dictionary every once in a while, too. She seems to fit the definition pretty well based on the behavior in that interview.

Dad went to a local tea party gathering and they gave out free copies of the Constitution as if the left isn't paying attention to it. Uh while the Right tends to piss on it. At least we I get a free booklet on the constitution it doesn't have a big fat right wing sticker on the back takeback.us X_X
So while the tiny small ultra right noodles can bitch about some non existent left wing majority. I can sit back pay attention to the mostly right wing MSM. Which mostly ignores the dead zone increasing in size and forgot about 11 people.
Get better news from the Kremlin. o_O do'h. Hell Putin has better PR than Bush. Wanna talk about pissing on the constitution? The ultra left wing Democrats (my ass) forgot to impeach either Bush or Dick. Yet Clinton gets impeached because he discovered a popular use for cigar that became a bit of a punch line in an 007 movie. Yawn. so what else is new?

if those lost in this catastrophe were actually trying to save the lives of the oil executives(and others) partying on the rig at the time of the explosion?

6. The function of the news is first and foremost to cover what is current. |
|
While tragic, those lost lives are no longer current. News has to be new - they are yesterday's news, and so are no longer news. People die all the time, many just as tragically as these folks. But most of them are not today's news either.
The news of the oil spill itself is rightly the dominant coverage. And even that is starting to slip away.

8. Has anyone seen the names of those who are missing? |
|
This is the only place I've seen any names mentioned save for the one person who filed suit immediately. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article7112898.ece

Good Post! I myself, had forgotten about the loved ones lost. You get lost in the size of this spill and the long term ramifications of it. But, for every family member wondering why their loved ones are now an afterthought, it must be tough to watch this each day with no word about them.
