2. God, and all those people who believed that it was about democracy and liberation and WMDs
Which they were being told by the news. While I listened to people ranting online about Bush raping monkeys who accurately predicted this. This should be a MASSIVE humiliation to the MSM and everybody who sold and bought the crap about it not being about oil.

6. Oil,the main reason we are in Iraq
Anyone who has been following politics for along time knows that The Warmongers and Bushco attack on Iraq was,and is all about oil,the second reason is deter, and neutralize any Arab states in the region, who dares to challenge,or looks like a threat to Israeli power.

4. And "unelectable" Dennis Kucinich has been talking about it for ages
Edited on Thu Aug-09-07 04:46 PM by RufusTFirefly
When will people learn?

Presidential candidates who have publicly criticized the Iraqi parliament for failing to meet their benchmarks are conveniently overlooking the fact that the U.S. is blackmailing Iraq into turning over much of its oil to American and international companies. No wonder the parliament has been dragging its feet!

Kucinich hasn't just been talking about this scam. He's been holding press conferences about it, putting out press releases on it, and mentioning it in speaking appearances.

But for the most part the MSM has either not been paying attention or has totally distorted the situation so that few people realize what's going on.

No wonder he's unelectable. He's telling the truth!

Kucinich: Congress Endorses Blackmail of Iraq (This press release is 2 1/2 months old.)

8. It was so transparent to DUers when the drums were beating and

only had to be interpreted. The interpretation was easy - there were such clear clues and facts. But, those who wanted to hate and fear said no, it's not about oil. They said we've been invaded, it's not a criminal case to be tried in courts. An invasion means war and that's why we're going to bomb the hell out of those people.

One of the excuses was that the terrain of Iraq was more conducive to war then Afganistan.

They said those stupid people out there will believe anything, but we didn't.

9. Fool me once....

1: Starting in the mid-1990s, Unocal and its partners planned to build a 1,000 mile gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to Multan, Pakistan. Cost: about $2 billion (all pipeline routes shown are very approximate). Also considered was a more difficult route from Iran to Multan, which is not shown here

2: A proposed 400-mile extension from Multan to New Delhi would bring some of the ultra-cheap gas into India's network of gas pipelines. Cost: $600 million

3: The HBJ pipeline carries most of India's liquid natural gas

4: Hazira, north of Bombay, is the end of the HBJ pipeline. But in 1997, Enron announced plans to link Dabhol to the Hazira terminal. Enron also said they were going to add to about 1500 miles to the HBJ pipeline. Costs: $300 million and $900 million, respectively

5: Any gas pipeline across Pakistan could have a spur to the seaport of Gwadar, where tankers could take gas to Korea and Japan, largest consumers of liquid gas in the world. A sea route from Gwadar to Dabhol would be even easier
