What does Betty White have to do with US Solicitor General Elena Kagan (President Obama's Nominee to the US Supreme Court?)

1. The "L" word issue, whether it applies to Kagan or not ...
... truly does create a tough issue for the GOP in the Senate.

I smell a filibuster if it doesn't come up in the judiciary committee.

Here's a video response, Britethorn, on the psychosis of going down filibuster lane:

2. Filibuster
Thanks for the video. You could be right about the Filibuster, although I don't believe any nominee to the US Supreme Court has ever been Filibustered before. But hey, what a great way for the Republican Party to blaze a brave new trail! On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Mainstream Media jump on the Glenn Beck bandwagon and actually start to raise the question of her sexuality.

5. True, it's always fun to watch the GOP try something new!
And I believe that when Stevens announced that he was stepping down, they said they would filibuster Obama's nominee - no matter who!

6. I'm really getting tired of . . .
. . . of the GOP behaving badly. I hope to god they take some unexpected losses in the fall!! Maybe that would break this hold the Tea Party has on them.

3. "Are you a lesbian?"

"I dunno... let's ask the DC madam."

"Only in Argentina"

"In what respect, Charlie?"

"Only on the Appalachian Trail"

"Oh yes, I loved acting in college!"

"Only in Argentina on the Appalachian Trail"

"Why? Do I have to serve in the military while I'm on the bench?"

"Why, is it turning you on, Senator?"

"Oh... Be-have!"

4. If only!
That would be awesome! Especially if Al Franken joined in!
