2. Too bad down here where it's HAPPENING nobody seems to give a fuck.
Haven't heard jack from the folks here in ATL or even on the panhandle and it sounds like the politicians in LA and TX are trying to help out the POOR OIL Co's. Sometimes being a Southerner really sucks. x(

5. Well, to be fair
if anyone down here did try to start a protest over it they'd probably be shut down before it could start. The good ol' boys would haul out the tear gas and tasers pretty quick in defense of BP and everyone knows it.
I suppose there's something to be said for protesting and being hauled off to jail, except the local news wouldn't report anything unfavorable about any cop. So their protest of BP would rapidly be morphed into "Brave police stop riot" on the news.

3. The biggest reasons to love SF - are the people who live there.

I'd love to see these protesters as Congresspersons, asking questions, writing bills. I'd make them the majority. THAT...would be change you could believe in!

edit: grammar

4. Seize BP National Day of Action:
Good on them! I'm glad they're doing this.
Folks can sign a petition at the website too.
