As an forreigner, an lurker here at DU, and as one who have had a love affair with the US for many, many years... I just have to say.. What the H**** is happening with US this days... Are you on a nervous break down or something... Can an country who have been the light for the rest of the world for allmoust 200 year, black out, and be more repressive than Nazi-Germany in the 1930s.. The Soviet in the age of Stalin, more repressive than the old regimes of europe, who fight nail and tail, becouse they subcumbed to the fact that you either reform, or got a revolt on your hand...

What is going on in the US this days.. I know "everything schanged after 2001" but allmoust a decade after you are collective on a nervos breakdown still. And if I am right, Arizona are not the only state who want to ban everything that is not white, anglo saxcian and is fluent in english (the american accent, not propper english, who is the Queens english by the way) Now they ban ethic Studies, and would posible punish they who want to study or teatch minority culture.. Are we in the 1940s US, where study of ethnicity by all means was horrible, and wrong, or are we living in the US of 2010, where most americans tend to be little more educated about the world?...

This is just another sigh of what US have been the last couple of deacades. And many have the meaning that it started with Ronald Reagan, and then just ratle down the ages... This is just..... Wel as long as you are white, at least look white you are in the clear..

I know one thing, Im not setting my foot in US before the madness is ended, Maybe I should use my savings to travel to the Peopoles Republic of China instead of - at least they are some honest about the fact that they dosen't claim to be the first democratic Country in modern times.. And even tho I would have been more "pure white" than most of the border police, and custom officials who are in US, Im not excactly high and blond.. Rather normal size for me, and with a weeks beard I could easy been taking for a middle eastern or something like that...

This is so sad, I cant express my in english, who sad I really are:cry: :cry: What have become my friend USA?

Have allways had a found heart for US, and once was wondering to emigrate to US, but for some reason it never happend, and wel I have to say, im glad I stay...

And I might travel to US even tho it would not be in Arizona for a while.,..
