3. She called the Federal Reserve Bank a government institution.

It's not a US Governmental institution is it?

I am under the impression it's a for profit bank. A bank that one of our recent Presidents gave the authority to regulate our money supply, and set interest rates. The Treasury mints coins and printed money but the Federal Reserve has the ability to literally create money on paper and then loan it to banks.

Am I off base on this?

I'd be willing to bet that regardless of any legislation the Fed will not be audited by any branch of the US Government.
