I heard this described as a "Volcano of Oil", erupting from the ocean floor l mile down.... one of the most high-pressure vaults they have ever tapped into.

We are having too many people around here believing the Hollywood adventure movies and TV shows. Real life isn't so clear cut and sanitary. Blow the top off this thing and we could have oil measured in feet floating in the gulf.

Reading from a couple sources. Talk of using nukes as a way to increase flow and volume out of a well v. nukes being able to smack the area round a well creating additional points of exist and fusing the process in time due to the temps involved in the nuke release - more than just odd people are actually talking along these lines. Proof enough to me: BP, Halliburton, Transocean have no clue much beyond Medieval heavy lift, poke a hole, pound the ground and failed concrete
