1. Remember when God put George W. Bush in charge? |

We need to stop letting God make these decisions. God has really bad taste in leaders.

An almost empty state with it's mostly white ( I saw 4 black people there....and I think they were on vacation too... except the waitress with the Jamaican accent at the seafood restaurant) population huddled on the south-eastern coast (the rest of the state is practically empty).
Who cares what they think? All white frozen country clubs to not represent America.
It's a beautiful place for the 3 weeks flowers bloom in the late summer.... but not a representative of the majority of the USA.

and it most certainly does represent America despite its lack of color and frigid winters. We voted for Obama, and most of us don't know enough or care enough about politics or current issues to have a coherent opinion on either... just like the rest of America. We have our tree huggers and our racists; the last couple weeks one of the big stories here was that a group of white supremacists had landed in a local town, trying to recruit new members. They were met with pretty universal outrage, or at least their supporters were afraid to come out of hiding and be recognized. We have lots of military, some dying industry, a major service economy and a contingent of very wealthy part-time residents whose interests are overly represented when talking taxation.
We are regular Americans, make no mistake about it.

Austria has universal healthcare. Austria has free kindergartens, an excellent pension system and some public housing.
Austrian economics are not right wing at all. What dumbbells these folks are.

perhaps, but that is 75% of the people who actually showed up at what most others thought was some kind of sham "event". I'd roast myself on a stick if I thought 75% of Mainers took any of this seriously, (that is what was implied by that stupid sound bite at the end).
Maine voters will be motivated this election...and I seer a serious disaster for the Teabaggers in the future; which is fine by me.
