I recently read "The Handmaid's Tale" and was looking for the 1990 film on Youtube when I found this. This interview was uploaded back in 2006, so it's not new, but what she and Moyers discuss is still relevant.
BTW, I couldn't put her book down once I started reading it.

1. Going to a discussion group about it Wed
One of the local independent bookstores has started a book group that's focusing on banned books. This month is "Handmaid's Tale." Next month is the recently published Definitive Edition of "Diary of Anne Frank."

2. What a great concept for a Book Club. The Handmaid's Tale should
spark some lively discussions.

4. Maybe you could start your own?
Via Meetup.com or a Craiglist activities ad? You could hold it in people's homes or in a local coffee shop.
