I live in a small township which hasn't been annexed by two of the larger surrounding municipalities. Our water and sewer services are provided by a private corporation called Ohio American Water. My average MONTHLY water bill is $82.00. Every 3 months without fail, these bastards ask the PUCO for a rate hike. We have been fighting them for years. What they are doing to us is extortion, and I get so angry about it, that I have terrible thoughts about what I could do. We use no more water than homes of equal size in the larger city and we are paying 3x what they are. We've tried to organize, and get people from our homeowners association to attend hearings, but NOTHING EVER GETS DONE. Last time the PUCO actually granted these fuckers more than they were asking for!

I can not drill a well on my own property. We do all we can to conserve the water we use. I will NEVER BE ABLE TO SELL MY HOUSE because of these assholes. Our township trustees are having their pockets lined by this water company, and if I could prove it, I'd probably hurt someone very badly. FUCK!!!
