14. I'm watching Rand Paul's Rachel Maddow Interview Last Night
Rand keeps saying allowing blacks into restaurants would be in the same category as forcing restaurants to allow guns.

He seems to fail to understand the difference between black human beings, animate thinking objects, and guns, inanimate objects. Seriously, he views black people, apparently not as humans, but as inanimate objects, like guns.

Sorry Rand, but I just think the rules and laws surrounding humans, should be different, than the laws around guns.

that blacks were more dangerous than guns.

17. Rand Paul is an idiot...
equating racial discrimination with disallowing guns is a weak and stupid argument, and although Rachel did an excellent job I would have pressed him on that. Disallowing guns in your establishment over safety concerns for your patrons is not the same as making black people pick up their food at the back door because you don't want your white patrons to be uncomfortable.

That is something else I wanted to bring up -- its a fine detail that perhaps gets missed, but should not be dismissed. Blacks were not refused service by many establishments under Jim Crow laws -- they just had to use different accommodations, such as sitting at the back of the bus, or using the back door while paying the same price as the white folk who walk in the front a get a seat. It was a system designed to make certain people aware that they were not full citizens with all the rights and privileges other have.

country club lectern sign in the second report after it was joked about by the panel? was it Paul's staff, the Club, or CNN? Clearly someone didn't want his image tarnished by the contradiction- but WHOM? Inquiring minds want to know!

4. Reading the replies to the vid, Rand sure brings out the racists to defend him
from the Jewish usurpers. One clown insists that the founding fathers were in fact Jews.

8. I'm sure the tea baggers will love the $7,500.00 per year 'membership' to a private club story

he sure is a real conservative man of the people, that Rand Paul. Just proving his creds each and every day he is in the news.

9. Shows you what a disconnect there is between the wealthy and the rest of us
if $7,500 a year is a "bargain", then you have more disposable income than 90% of America.

$7500 to belong to a club. The only club I've ever belonged to has yearly dues of $27.50.

12. I don't agree with Paul's
standings on the issues but can we not call him stupid or crazy? I am sure he is a decent guy who has some off the wall views that you do not agree with. If we keep on making fun of him he will get pity votes and maybe win. Just let him talk.

13. he's a big boy. he can handle it. and if he can't, then he needs to leave
Know him personally, do you? Well I don't. He has no redeeming qualities that I care to honor.

For all the blah blah blah he does about "less government in our lives", he really DOES want more government intrustion into our lives, specifically in the lives, bedrooms and uteri of women across this country.

He's the worst kind of hypocrit==the kind who wont' stand in his truth and take his asswhippin' for it. He wants to run and hide from what he stuck out his chest on and proclaimed of his own volition. Now that he's been cornered, he wants to be a little punk about it.

If he's grown enough to say "repeal Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act and Americans with Disabilities Act", then he needs to be grown enough to stand in front of a tv camera and say "yeah, I said it. Who's gon' check me, boo?" The fact that he wont' stand in his truth and take his asswhippin' for it tells me that he's a coward and an idiot and he needs to be derided for that.
