While the media shows the Times Square bomber story 24-7 when it happened a bombing of a mosque on May 11th in Jacksonville doesn’t get mentioned.

Another thing, while the Times Square bombing is a “Terrorist Act” the bombing of a mosque is considered a “Hate Crime”. The difference is too obvious…Muslim-American trying to kill Christians: Terrorist, Christian-American trying to kill Muslims: Hate Crime. Where was the rush to catch the bomber of the mosque?

As one article puts it: An explosion and fire at a Jacksonville mosque is being investigated as a possible hate crime http://jacksonville.com/news/crime/2010-05-11/story/fbi-video-jacksonville-mosque-shows-man-gas-can

1. Except that's not the difference.
The Muslim in question wasn't trying to "kill Christians." He was trying to kill people indiscriminately on a busy sidewalk in the busiest city in the country.

If a Muslim bombed a church and was charged with terrorism, you would have a better point. But I would assume that, in such a case, that Muslim would, like the Christians in the mosque-bombing case, be charged with a hate crime.

3. One set a bomb because he hated America, the other set a bomb because he hated Muslim-Americans.
Either they are both hate crimes or they are both domestic terrorists. Like the militia men who were busted for planning to kill police officers, the media doesn't say they're terrorists but if it were a Muslim-Americans group planning to kill police would it be the same response?

4. A hate crime is one based on discrimination based on religion, race, etc.
A terrorist does not discriminate based on religion, race, etc.
