2. Good intentions from the masses mixed with lots of need for their gases.
This gentleman on the T.R. (a.k.a.inonothing) show has very good points about some of the reasons the people of Iraq did not see the Americans as liberators for long. He mentions correctly their long history of repressive governments and most recently the horror of living under what was without a doubt a horrid existence under Saddam. He does not mention here our own sins in this disaster.

It is of little wonder that we have caused a disaster because we did not enter Iraq with what, most of the people hoped we had done, clean hands and good intentions. Many knew then and most know now that quite the opposite was true. Good can not come from such lies, deception and filth, nor should it. Should the administration have walked in and won this with ease? Knowing what we all know now? I think and believe not.

We must also not forget the incompetence that took charge of Iraq post "mission accomplished." Brenner I feel will long be remembered as a name and a symbol of the BUSH policy we have all come to know. The policy of political and faith based appointments in positions of extreme importance. Competence for the job must be at least second on the list of qualifications for a political appointment. How many of our systems of government; education, justice, public safety, public science in the development of human services in general from the EPA and FEMA to the NASA and NSA have been negatively effected by this Bush/political/faith based approach?

I cannot calculate this loss due to cutbacks and the fact that my calculator has been lost on it's third tour in Iraq, along with some SMALL # of GUNS and MONEY
and american prestige both in the eyes of the world and more importantly perhaps, in its own eyes.

3. Good Piece
This is a good piece and everyone should be informed on what was mentioned. About a week or two ago I learned that O'Hanlon has supported the war from the beginning. However, I did not know until today that O'Hanlon has actually signed the PNAC document. People must be informed of this.
