this issue.
Giving legitimacy to Joe McCarthy is bad history, it just is. It's pretty sad that the Texas Right-Wing doesn't recognize the excesses of Joe McCarthy and how his crusade was a huge violation of the civil rights of thousands of Americans. Again, I have to ask, what kind of a country do these people want to live in?

3. Well, the country they/we live in... |
|
was not founded as a Christian country but has been moving in that direction since the 50's and accelerated in that direction starting in the 80's...They just want to see to it that America is a theocracy sooner rather than later! So, they have to change history so that children think America has always been a country based on a Bronze Age Myth.
The plan has always been since the 80's to stack the court with Jesus Freaks then challenge every aspect of our Secular Society until America is officially a legal Christian Theocracy!
I just hope at some point the so-called "moderate" Christians will finally take a PUBLIC STAND so that Atheist & Agnostics are not the only ones defending the Constitution. SADLY & ironically, it has largely only been Atheist & Agnostic defending the Constitution, defending everyone's freedom of religion, up to this point in time! Whether it is non-legal issues like fighting to change our pledge back to its original wording or important constitutional issues like removing GOD from our money. Without added backing from so-called moderate Christians then these challenges are simply brushed off as only "ANGRY ATHEIST"...Which explains why so-called moderates are too scared to stand up and defend the Constitution, they fear being called Heretics or "god forbid" ANGRY ATHEIST!
Oh well?
