1. He sure sounds right. Locals: is he for real?

but can he overcome the bureaucratic inertia and corrupt politics that govern Washington D.C.?

But his primary opponent has never won an election, and Romanoff beat him pretty good at the state assembly, 61% to 39%.

I worry that if Bennet gets the nomination he won't be able to win in November. Romanoff has won several elections to the state legislature, and was key in ushering in a Democratic majority for three consecutive terms--in both houses.

3. Who is he calling an "ordinary American"?

Implying there is "him" and then there is "ordinary" Americans.

I always worry when politicians use those "distancing" phrases.

4. You should listen to his whole speech.

He's not the least bit pretentious. I was at the Assembly when he made this speech, and the crowd was definitely with him.

Romanoff has done great things in Colorado, and I seriously hope we can get him elected to the Senate.

9. Excellent speech and exactly to the point.

O' has taught us that you cant trust politicians of any stripe, no matter what they say to get elected; They all say the right things to get elected but in the end are Machiavellian puppets or puppeteers; But like Grayson, this guy seems real. Will send money to at least give him a chance and will watch and listen. Would be nice to have a few more honest folks like Grayson, who together might just save our democracy from an over abundance of right wing criminal thugs that have a stranglehold on this country.

specter (no pun intended) of Democrats running against their own party, which is a variant of running against the government, so effectively employed for thirty years by Republicans.
