1. How cheap and pathetically low can they stoop??
There is NO depth to which the propaganda network of the reich-wingers will not stoop. Scum sucking bastards...one and all.

29. Playin Devils Advocate...
Are we sure this wasn't just some hack playin with a vid clip and posting it on here as Fox edited? Did someone actually see this vid clip shown on one of its shows like this? Of course they do these things, but, just sayin....

4. pathetic and truly the behavior of a spoiled bratty 8 year old

and no doubt this should go to the Ed Show for a complete ripping because it is so obviously edited out by the length of his pause that they must be fools to think it wouldn't get noticed

20. Next you'll be telling us that...
...Fox News thinks their audience is so stupid that they'd get all scared listening to Glenn Beck fearmonger about FEMA Camp roundups, piss their pants in fear, and then run out and buy the GOLD that's being advertised during the commercials at a 100% mark up, or the "Survival Seeds" for $20 a can, when they could get the same seeds at any Wallmart for fifty cents. No, they can't be THAT stupid!

27. So, tell me, where did you meet my ex-husband?
He's a decent man, but he watches Fox News exclusively and believes everything they broadcast. If the conversation turns to national or world affairs, his contribution is nothing but Fox News talking points.

7. They are but there is an edit
after the missing applause they move to another part in the speech. That edit is unimportant. The only thing to consider is that Fox may have only used a direct feed from Obama's mic and it didn't pick up the applause

8. Saw the same speech on CNN or NBC. Filtered out by a WingNut working for West Point?
I swore I saw this same clip on another network. I thought it was really weird. Not hearing any applause...then the backdrop....just weird, weird, weird, I thought.

17. Maybe a directional mike thing?
Kind of like the way the mike picked up Howard Dean's "Dean Scream" but muted the crowd, so that it looked like he was acting bizzarely and not joining the crown in a cheer?

I'm not in a position to know, but that's the thought that came to mind.

21. Yes it's true (but with the obvious caveats)
He promised that all "combat troops" would be out of Iraq by August 2010, which has the GOP shitting their pants for two reasons. 1. Standing down all the combat troops (especially reserve units) will save a LOT of money, sending the Obama Administration spending curve further in the right direction, with spending going down. Not to mention the fact that all those reserve unit families will thank Obama for bringing their loved ones home. and 2. Obama gets to preside over a returning home ceremony for the troops, further reinforcing the idea that he is, in fact, NOT continuing Bush's war policy in Iraq, but ENDING it, and cleaning up the mess that Bush got us into. And doing all this just two months before an election.

The caveat? The term "combat troops" is a loaded term, obviously. Remember that we were in Vietnam for YEARS, where large numbers of our troops were classified as "advisors." So, no doubt there will be thousands of U.S. military "advisors" in Iraq for many years. I'm guessing the number will probably drop to around 10 000 or 20 000 (maybe somebody can find the exact number). But still, that's a lot better than 130 000.

their must have been applause. I am glad Faux keeps doing shit like this - it exposes them so badly, and slowly we keep gaining more Democrats in most districts year after year - keep up your nuttiness Faux Noise Channel, you're turning this country BLUE!

25. To be fair to faux, I read somewhere else on DU that they had a direct feed to obama's microphone
Edited on Tue May-25-10 05:59 AM by Clintonista2
And its one of those microphones that filter out noise. Not sure how accurate that is though, I certainly wouldn't put it past Faux.
