"There is no other city in the nation that has undertaken steps to actually regulate emissions from power plants within their municipal boundaries."
-Ald. Joe Moore, Chicago's 49th Ward.

Yup.
It's time for Chicago to lead the way. The Chicago Clean Power Ordinance will help clean up the toxic, outdated and unregulated power plants that are affecting the highest populated communities in the nation. Pilsen and Little Village.

The Fisk and Crawford coal fired power plants currently belch out 2.8 million pounds of soot and nearly 2 tons of carbon dioxide for each of Chicago's 2.9 million residents every year.
They are responsible for as many as 41 premature deaths, 550 emergency room visits and 2,800 asthma attacks annually.

This kind of pollution does not acknowledge ward, city or state boundaries and this kind of energy is simply unsustainable.

Go Joe!

If you care about your community, your environment and your quality of life find out how you can help now!
