1. Be interesting to research what Charlie Melancon's environmental rating is
I will go there in a minute.

LCV typically rates Louisiana Representatives very low. Highest environmental report card I've see in recent years (from Louisiana) belongs to William "Refrigerator" Jefferson and he's in jail.

At one time Jefferson's failing grade of 50% was higher than the percentages of the other four Congressmen combined. One Democrat had a 30% and the three GOP rep's could stack up a combined total even in the teens.

2. 64%
Not suitable for a Democrat in a Blue State but for Louisiana it is remarkable. Louisiana politicians well known for selling out their own mother's graves for a few greasy bucks over or under the table.

4. who murdered Huey Long?
as everybody knows, Huey Long was Gov of Louisiana back in the 30's, and the oily co.s sure hated him, in part because he said the oil was 'the people's' and the companies could compete to pay the people for rights to explore/drill for it. The guy who killed Huey was member of the establishment, a rightwing goof who looked upon Huey Long (who said $5 million was the maximum any individual could have in the bank, as human need was limited by physics) as a 'race traitor' (Long said to descriminate against blacks in public work tenders/bids cost too much taxmoney, and since blacks paid taxes anyhow, then why should gov descrimnate?)...it's interesting that the 1936 prez election showed Huey Long at least as popular as Roosevelt, and his murder saved mr pig lotsa problems later on...Roosevelt himself died 'suddenly' before end of WW2 so h truman, a rightwing goofball, could make sure the US never demilitarised or made peace with USSR; which was Roosevelt's post plan.
I betcha most of yall know nothing about this?
