Had a friend once ask a question I've never been able to answer but think of often.

"Why do we call conservatives conservative and liberals liberal when liberals want to save everything and conservatives want to use it all up."

As head of one of the oldest civil rights organizations in Los Angeles County I have rarely heard such an eloquent or brief argument against "labeling" or stereotyping and the same for individual respect.
