May 30, 2010 — The Harper conservative government is using the recent fire bombing of an RBC bank in Ottawa and the terrorist attacks on 9/11 as justification for the 1 Billion dollar price tag Canadian tax payers are going to have to shell out for security at the G8 and G20 summits being held this Summer in Toronto & Huntsville Ontario.

Min. Of Transportation, John Baird further justifies Canadian tax payers flipping a 1 Billion dollar bill and states that the G20 summit will be an opportunity for Canada to, "Create Jobs Around The World" but fails to mention anything about creating jobs in Canada.. the country he is bound to serve by sworn oath.

Last years G20 was held in London with a security price tag of 30 million, our Canadian government has committed us to spending 30x that amount!!

1. MORE security/military infrastructure funding,. .
Nothing but a windfall freebie for the security/military infrastructure,. (the power elite see they will need protection when the Greece like riots brake out,. after the soon coming economic free-fall.) Yeah convenient timing on that bank fire,. one week before this billion dollar spending spree announcement! Does anyone here recall the cop provocateurs incident a just a couple years back in canada??? < http://mostlywater.org/evidence_of_police_provocateurs_at_montebello > Could this also be a strategic CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) operation perhaps? A billion dollars!?! Really? It's just over the friggin top, as ppl are being dropped from unemployment benefit roles,. and the conservative gov. continues to cut and slash programs.

2. There are bad apples everywhere. So some bad apples on the left got together
and firebombed the RBC. I don't think it justifies a 1Billion dollar summit but I do think the police need to be all over it. Let us hope that because of the outcry about the 1 Billion dollar price tag that we never see the G20 meeting in the middle of a downtown city again. If they have to meet (and they do) let them meet on airbases and rural resorts.
