Summary: This is an edited version of the Holding Congress Accountable panel from the http://www.ourfuture.org/|America's Future Now conference> in DC that only includes (some of) Cenk's comments. Cenk talks about how we can learn to fight big money interests by looking at the likes of the NRA and AIPAC (intrigued yet?). Cenk gives his view on if Obama and the Democrats in congress are doing a good job in moving this country back after Bush/Cheney moved it far right, and how the upcoming deficit commission is coming to destroy social security (what about war spending?). Also, he touches on how tea partiers have been manipulated by corporate interests. Finally, he talks about being a short term pragmatist (knowing some will try to dismiss him as a radical idealist who wants it all NOW) and the choice between two evils.

PS---Cenk will be on MSNBC today (Dylan Ratigan's show which begins at 4pm ET/1pm PT) discussing the http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=103x541118|protest attempting to get our money back> from the AIG/Goldman Sachs bailout.

Ana, Andrew (our new editor/filmmaker) and I were left behind in LA, so we just had to spread the word online, etc. Changing the protest date from Monday to Wednesday a few days before clearly impacted turnout (along with rain and a few other things) but on the plus side MSNBC, RT, Reuters, Townhall (yes, that Townhall) and others covered it.
