This idea should really "take a bite out of crime".

To pretend that the way to solve the problem of all these shootings, is to disarm the law abiding. When in fact, all they do is make the attacker much more bold, by assuring him of NO resistance.

For example: the three defenders in the video would not have been aided by having a gun nearby. The most the defender could do is shoot someone in the back. But guess what is going to happen if you shoot criminals? They are not going to stop being criminals they'll just shoot their victim instead of risking getting shot themselves.

A good way to get yourself killed is try to pull a gun out to defend yourself against someone who already has one pulled. Criminals are not going to stop committing crimes because people have guns but you will have more shootings.
