I love this...Tony Perkins sends a totally unprepared #2 to debate Prop 8, gay parenting, gay adoption, etc with an actual academic expert on the subject and gets smacked down, knowing almost nothing about the actual facts and citing unfounded generalities. I like this Abbie Goldberg, too.

5. At the end, the Xian wacko brings up the idea that being gay is a choice,

the old "they're not born that way, they choose to be that way, so it isn't a right" canard. Abbie says that that shouldn't matter, that rights aren't dependent on whether someone chooses or is born gay.

That's all well and good - but I wish that she would have pointed out that religious freedom is based on people making a choice as to which religion they will follow. Nobody is born a Xian or a Lutheran. For most people, their parents choose their religion for them. When people become adults, they are usually free to switch religions or become a non-believer.

Yet, I don't see the FRC saying that a person who was "born" Baptist and later chooses to become a Methodist loses his religious freedom because he made a choice.
