2. Can someone remind me

why we need for-profit health insurance companies? I mean obviously we need them to sink their fangs into our collective necks...but I mean...other than that...what purpose do they serve?

3. Their wealth generators,

creating profits by making sure as little as possible is done, the less done the bigger the profit, which I guess is why we 'have' to have them.:wtf:

4. Even the non-profits are run like for profits are. But every time I say something about

the For Profit health insurance companies, I am reminded that BCBS-ND is a non profit, as if somehow that makes their excesses not really count.
BCBS-NS was the company drawn up short and changed CEO's over the flap about an all expense paid vacation for upper management and sales force to various world class resorts a year or so ago. Kinda hard to have a profit with activities like that.

was how totally screwed we are. Not only do we pay them to kill us, but now we're mandated to pay them to kill us.
