7. Modern equivalent of "let them eat cake"

You cant really have slaves if they have any refuge. IT makes perfect sense from the right wing fascist corporatist point of view. They want us completely at their mercy from cradle to grave. I have believed for 20 or so years now, after seeing the Reagan presidency, that their goal was something akin to feudalism in this country. Serfs didn't have any social safety net other than the castle. Of course to have shelter in the castle they had to submit themselves to the feudal lords whims. The whole thing is really very simple. The less of a safety net we have, the more in fear we live, and the more control they can exert over us.
