Despite the whole, ugly, truth-baring spectacular that laura schlessinger put on display regarding her automatic, id-driven mindset, there was something so profound regarding marriage which she chose to dismiss, considering her particular political bent, the fact that she supposedly gives "relationship advice" and how these days with the blessed defeat of Prop 8, the topic of "the sanctity of marriage" is oooh, so important for the "fabric" of our nation.
The racist bend to the story aside: THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT THE WOMAN'S HUSBAND WAS PUTTING HIS MARRIAGE ASUNDER BY ALLOWING FORCES OUTSIDE TO HIS MARRIAGE TO CAUSE DAMAGE AND DISCORD WITHIN HIS MARRIAGE AND HE STOOD BEFORE GOD AND MAN AND VOWED TO ALL THAT HE WOULD NOT DO THAT UNTIL DEATH.

He swore that he would love, honor, cherish and remain faithful until death to this woman. The fact that she is a black woman has nothing to do with the degree of loving, honoring, cherishing and remaining faithful until death that he swore to God that she is due by her legal station as his wife.
The fact that his family and friends feel so free as to walk into THEIR home and insult HIS wife just because she's black and believe that she is just supposed to take it is incredulous on its face. Just because her husband withers when it is his place to stand up and protect her honor is does not negate this one truth, which is the bedrock of all civilization, or so the opponents of Gay Marriage claim.
Only people who are accustomed to having someone walk into their home and call their wife a whore and a slut in front of her children and do nothing about it would, without filter of action, do such a base, thuggish thing to someone else's wife.
The fact of the matter is this man is deliberately, willfully and of his own volition, doing damage to his marriage by allowing "no man", meaning friends and family, to put his marriage asunder. On that tip, this caller was completely in the right and above reproach.
"dr." laura schlessinger has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that she has no business giving any kind of relationship advice to anyone if she can miss so profound a problem that reaches well beyond the caller's situation, but to marriages all across the country--a husband's blatant disrespect for his wife and a failure of upholding ALL of his marriage vows.
The only thing her small mind can accomplish is to latch on to the base-low hook of race and letting her true feelings about interracial marriage off the leash. Now we know and can proceed accordingly.
