3. Hey! Here's why....

...I refuse to have anything to do with commercial "social" sites. All they want is your info to sell; they don't really care about anything else. It's the money, Liebowski - always was, always will be. My hope would be that it become as big a wasteland as MySpace.

4. All joking aside

Marijuana (Drugs !!!!!) probably has a worse reputation now than it ever has in the past. Nobody in the professional world will have anything to do with it for fear of losing credibility and reputation. Drug use is drug use and there is little differentiation between Marijuana use or heroine in the eyes of the professional world. How many have seen the statement, "Drug free work environment". Doesn't matter if everyone comes in impaired by a weekend binge hangover. Just don't let us find pot in your piss after a random drug test. It is the kiss of death in the business world.

At 53 years of age I was convicted on the count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana, after a pot plant was found on my property. One four foot plant !! They charged me with felony manufacturing of marijuana with the intent to sell and maintaining a residence and vehicle with the intent to sell marijuana. One plant !! The entire house and vehicle was searched and nothing else was found, because there was nothing else. In the end, it was all about the money, of course.

So now I find myself unemployed and basically unemployable after a long and fairly distinguished career, because I have this one and only blemish on my otherwise spotless record. Even the sheriff who arrested me marveled at how clean I was up until that time. Not even a speeding ticket he said ! Of course you would have to take my word for all of this...but my point is, that even in this day and age...there is an enormous stigma surrounding marijuana and it's use.

I did a lot of online activism on Facebook during the 08 election and I'm never going back there!

For me, FB is now only for keeping in contact with friends and even that is kept to a minimum these days seeing as I'm on here so much, lol.

10. I thought that the term was perfect...

When ihavenobias was looking for votes for TYT, I told him I'd vote as long as I didn't have to join Myface, LOL, but this term is better... :rofl:

I know that the teabagger presence is strong on that site, so I'm certainly not joining, and I know someone who just dropped out because of it. On-line, DU is my home. :)
