How many years are our elected officials going to run on the wasteful spending and corruption platform? Is there wasteful spending and corruption in government, absolutely. Is that whats killing the economy, absolutely not. Politicians have been running on this platform since the dawn of government - she (or any other politician) isn't going to be the magic bullet that cures that ill.
What a fairy tale it is to tell constituents they don't have to make real choices about what services the government should provide and the real cost of those services.

Do you prescribe to the get out the hate vote? Damn the consequences, full speed ahead and throw anyone and everyone under the bus that gets in your way. While I agree that no single politician will change everything for the better, Isn't that why we are a republic, to elect the politicians who make the choices about government services? While a Dem, I can't see a pure democracy anywhere when this country has upwards of 50% uninformed voters. A small portion of people who vote in every election do make the choices. Now, with the SCOTUS ruling, it will be a small portion of corporations who will be making the choices in politics from now on in the US.

'get out the hate vote' means. What I do know is for the 30 years I've been paying attention, practically every politician has run on the waste, fraud and abuse platform. Either the electorate is a bad judge of who will curb the waste, fraud and abuse - or its time to start cutting bone.
I forget who it was that made the statement that Democrats are afraid of their own positions, but that about sums it up. Since I've been paying attention the democrats have always had a good plan, its just they are afraid to expound on their plans - INCLUDING HOW THEY WILL BE PAID FOR!!!

If you want to win you need to generate some excitement and have a plan-not just the same old cut wasteful spending crap I've been hearing for over fifty years.
