The Dove World Outreach Center has also been very outspoke about abortion, gay marriage and homosexuality. Members of the congregation plan to meet on August 2 to protest the election of Gainesville's first gay mayor. They have come under scrutiny in the past for picketing with signs that said "No Homo Mayor."

It is only too bad that Matthews and MSNBC give this guy free air-time.

The hatred of Muslims/Arabs is tolerated by merely allowing this man free air time and reinforces the views of those bigots out there. It also must rev-up this man's supporters as well, as "look it, we just got free publicity on MSNBC!!!"

Yes, it's is newsworthy this man is going to burn Koran's but that does not mean you give this guy a megaphone to spew his hatred. Yes, the media is culpable in this anti-Arab/Muslim hatred as it further perpetuates hostility against a targeted group, and plays into what is known as cultural conditioning with the American public.

I do not think Matthews did a very good job interviewing this man either.

Sharia Law is not going to become U.S. Law and I did not hear Matthews actually tell this guy that little factoid.

On another token, there are many Christians in America to the far right which have indeed advocated the Bible as law for the United States of America and that is something to be far more concerned about than this b.s. argument or notion that Sharia Law "might become the law" of American society.
