1. "What a waste it is to lose one's mind." - Dan Quayle (R)
His full quote: "What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful."

2. So - up until about 4 minutes in they were sort of rational.
But then, her view that student loans should not have been taken over by the government because it makes students controlled by the government is totally wack. Guess she would rather see students totally controlled by private banks. crazy

3. One was not actually paying attention the the interviewer's questions

Then she said "we are the only nation that was founded by choice"...leaving out all other democracies and the Revolutionary War.

After her co-patriot talked about falling asleep.

"We don not control the government; the government controls us"... forgetting the history of who was duly elected in 2008 BY THE PEOPLE, and not choosing to remember the Supreme Court chose the actual raw vote loser in 2000 to be President, after the court disregarded all the instances of voting absurdities in Florida elections that year, (Pat Buchanan getting tens of thousands of votes in black areas because of the ballot alignment.)

These women may have just woken up. They need another cup of coffee or two so as to fully engage their brain, not going to happen too soon.

Sounds like they have been watching Glenn Beck history lessons on his show, maybe read a book of his or too.

Then they go on the "government gobbling up" absolutely a Glenn Beck phrase.

The student loans... "indentured servitude" another Beckism.

Creeping creeping creeping... that's got to come from something Beck said.

These two women obviously don't work in the field of scientific research, brain surgery, or anywhere where critical thinking skills and a full and balanced review of facts on all sides of an issue are required before making a reasonable decision. I would bet they are stay-at-home Christian moms who home school their kids.

It would be interesting if a news crew followed a few of these folks home to see where they live, what they do in their daily lives, how many of them are in a Christian evangelical church community, how many have had problems with law enforcement, income tax evasion, etc.

5. Here is part of the problem and why Beck has followers:

What a total arrogant elitist statement - not to mention the underlying sexism. Just keep dismissing everyone in such a cocky off-hand manner who doesn't have your Harvard education because that will really help to win hearts, minds and elections.

On second thought - maybe you are a Beck plant on DU with an assignment to piss off people with your snobby superiority and insults.

6. Thanks for the wonderful flame... I guess you like to insult fellow posters for
posting their own opinions.

Thanks that was really great. Now I know all about you!

Do you want to stick around at the DU? What is your post count and what is mine, when did YOU give money here?

Did you take things a little too personally?

I was speaking of my opinion of people who cannot think objectively about the issues. Your example proves my point.

Apologies accepted.

4. What we need to point out to Teabaggers
Is that the government is not "them" it is US!!!!!! It is our neighbors and community members, that we vote in and do our work (mostly). I do agree (partly) with them that most politicians listen to corporations and for-profit lobbyists and not the people enough, and we need term limits and public financing of campaigns. But we still elect them, but they just stop listening to us once they get into office, and their job becomes keeping their job instead of just enacting good legislation and let the chips fall where they may. Yes, they may not get re-elected and have to get a regular job like the rest of us, boo-frickin-hoo. So is their job keeping their job or enacting legislation?

What I don't understand is that they say banks and corporations have taken over our government, and then they say the government has taken over corporations and the banks. Huh?

8. Essentially these ladies left me wondering what they meant
by wanting to restore honor to this country. Mouthing Beckcrap didn't do the job.
I would like to see honor restored by discontinuing aggressive wars against other countries and restoring business regulations among other things. A better word, perhaps, is to restore INTEGRITY to this country.
