14. Lance Armstrong held a cancer forum live on MSNBC today |
|
Chris Matthews co-hosted. Several of the candidates spoke one at a time
I only saw a few minutes, but it will most likely be shown again

She'll obviously pick up Gonzo as her own AG.

Becuase it looks like you're the type to stay home and pout instead of vote.

5. Great response! But it was from last night, before the resignation. |
|
And I think what the candidates said about Gonzo *before* he quit is more important than what they say today...

And I'm happy to see that, too. I actually liked this bit a lot.
"When it comes to issues like torture and surveillance, the military commissions, the firing of U.S. attorneys because they wouldn't pursue a partisan political agenda, we need to be especially vigilant and strong in making sure whoever the president appoints will work with the congress to bring us back from this precipice that this administration has put us on."

18. Yet somehow it took her a week to figure out how to vote |
|
Another example of craven triangulation which her supporters try to spin as leadership.

17. Another late CYA vote with no real leadership |
|
Yes, the record shows she voted against him. What it doesn't show is that Hillary was undecided on Gonzo until just before the nomination was voted on. Just like on the MCA and the Iraq supplemental. How do I know? Because I called her office on each of these just days before the votes and was told the senator "hadn't arrived at a conclusion yet."
How can someone running for president take over a week to decide whether Gonzo should be our top law enforcement official? Can one of the Hillary supporters please answer that question?
Of course, if she truly opposed elevating the Torture Czar to AG, she could have easily put a hold on his nomination or joined in the call for a filibuster. Just like the Iraq Supplementa and the MCA, she did and said nothing and then snuck in her no vote once passage was assured. And still people think she's somehow qualified to be president. :banghead:
